Appleton Area School District encourages our students to participate in co-curriculars at every grade level. These activities are a great way to connect with classmates, get involved in the community and develop lifelong skills such as teamwork and time management, which are essential for future success.

School Musical
Kindergarten – 6th grade

If you are interested in singing and performing, join the School Musical. Audition dates will be posted as soon as they are available.  If you have questions, please contact Nancy Bowen at or Lydia Denzin at

5th and 6th Grade Technology Club

If you are a 5th or 6th grader interested in learning more about technology, changing images, creating videos or audio projects or learn coding basics, join Technology Club. Tech Club will run from March to early May. We will typically meet Thursdays from 12:00 - 12:30.

To sign up, students should complete the Tech Club Sign-up form with their parents.

Student Council:

Dear 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Graders,

Are you a leader in your class? Do you want to be known as a role-model for our school? Do you enjoy meeting new people and making new friends? If so, Student Council would be a great club for you to join! 

Student Council meetings will be every Monday at 12:00-12:15 using Google Meet.

Talent Show:

Kindergarten – 6th grade

We will be having a talent show VIRTUALLY this year!

If you would like to participate within the talent show please complete the Audition Preparation Form and submit it by December 21st. Auditions will be held January 13th & 14th. Your act must be ready to perform at the time of auditions. We look forward to seeing your talent and having another memorable Talent Show at Franklin Elementary!

Whether we are in person or virtually at school during this time, the talent show will be FULLY VIRTUAL this year. All auditions, meetings, rehearsals, and performances will be held virtually. With the difficulties of this year we want to do what we can to help expand social opportunities for our students.

6th Grade Coding Club

If you are a 6th grader interested in technology and learning programming or coding, this club is for you.  We will meet virtually via Google Meets each Wednesday from 11:30 – 12:00 and an additional time before or after school time once a week to be determined with input from club members. Coding Club will run from December through the beginning of February.
