As part of the state accountability system, reflected in Wisconsin’s approved ESEA Flexibility Request, the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) produces report cards for every district and school in Wisconsin.
School report cards provide a school and district-wide overview of student achievement in reading and math on statewide assessments, student growth in achievement from one year to the next, closing gaps in student achievement for particular student groups, and on-track and post-secondary readiness.
District-wide and School Report Cards are not able to showcase the broader view of student success -- rather it’s one short chapter of a book about a particular school. To provide a broader view of school success our school has developed a document that expands the definition of student success beyond the measures on the school report card.
